Shiva Temple Volunteer Teams

Haramadava Temple is driven by a very dedicated team of volunteers affectionately known as the Shiva Seva Sangha. Shiva Seva Sangha volunteers perform Seva in various areas within the Temple. Volunteers are organized into teams for assisting with different Temple activities, operations, and events. Below are the various volunteer teams assisting within the Temple.

Volunteer Signup & Waiver of Liability

Join the dedicated team of volunteers affectionately known as the Shiva Seva Sangha

All Volunteers(Youth, Adults, Parents of kids between 12 to 16) have to participate in the below mandatory Orientation before starting to volunteer in any of the Teams:

Haramadava Temple Volunteer Orientation (walk-in’s allowed)

Every Saturday 12:30PM after Aarti in Meditation Room in Main Temple

If interested in doing seva specifically in the Haramadava Temple Cafeteria team please also attend below Orientation specific for Cafeteria where volunteers will be onboarded.

Haramadava Temple Cafeteria Orientation (walk-in’s allowed)

Every Thursday 7:30PM at the Haramadava Cafeteria Building

Before volunteering, the below waiver liability needs to be reviewed and accepted.

This Release and Waiver of Liability (“Waiver”) is executed on the date last signed by the parties below by Volunteer whose name is listed above and the Haramadava Temple, a nonprofit organization and its directors, officers, employees, and agents.

Volunteer desires to offer free services to engage in the activities related to assisting Haramadava Temple with activities related to the organization’s needs (“Activities”). Volunteer understands that the Activities may include physical labor and conditions which may lead to injury.

Volunteer freely, voluntarily, and without duress executes this Waiver under the following terms:

I. Release and Waiver. Volunteer releases and forever discharges and hold harmless Haramadava Temple, its subsidiaries and related organizations, its successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, that arise or may hereafter arise from Volunteer’s Activities with Haramadava Temple which may include harm through bodily injury, illness, or related, including property damage and any form of personal injury.

II. Assumption of Risk. Volunteer understands that the Activities may involve work that may be harmful including, but not limited to, volunteering on Haramadava Temple’s physical address (“Premises”), and transportation to and from the Premises. Volunteer hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm in the Activities, and releases Haramadava Temple from all liability for injury and related harms.

III. Other. Volunteer expressly agrees that this Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Texas and that this Waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Volunteer also agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Waiver shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Waiver which shall continue to be enforceable.
